The London Chauffeur Company Terms & Conditions

Payment and Deposits

All prices are exclusive of VAT which is charged at 20%.

Our payment terms for all bookings are: 25% deposit with the remaining balance due 7 days prior to the booking.

Wedding car hire payments will be taken 14 days prior to the event.

Your booking may be subject to additional waiting time, car park charges, congestion charge or other tolls.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If a booking is cancelled by the customer within 48 hours of the start of the period of hire, 50% of all money paid will be non-refundable.

If a booking is cancelled by the customer within 24 hours of the start of the period of hire, 100% of all money paid will be non-refundable.

Bookings for coaches or other vehicle types with greater with 8 seats are non-refundable if cancelled with less than seven (7) days notice prior to the booking start time

If the customer does not appear at the time and place designated as the pickup point full charges apply

General Terms and Conditions

Whilst we do our utmost to ensure our drivers are punctual, we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances outside of our control.

The driver will at all times drive at safe and sensible speeds in accordance with road conditions, traffic and the legal speed limits. The driver will not commit any moving traffic offences. Penalty notices issued as a result of a customer request will be at the customers expense and will be charged after the event.

Clients are responsible for any damage they cause to the interior and/or exterior of a vehicle on hire to them and will be billed accordingly for any repair or valeting required in order to reinstate a vehicle to its hire standard. If a vehicle has to be removed from service in order to be brought up to the hire standard then you, the client, would be liable for any costs relating to bringing the vehicle back to its hire standard as well as any loss of earnings.

We may occasionally provide subcontracted vehicles.

If there are any changes or variations including extra mileage to the journeys other than what was agreed at the time of booking, the client will be charged liable for additional in accordance with the pricing structure which is available upon request.

We reserve the right to change your vehicle or chauffeur at any time if necessary.

Our chauffeur(s) will travel by the most appropriate route on the day, unless instructed otherwise and agreed with the customer at the time of booking.

Vehicles and sub-contracted vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third-party claims. However, customers’ property are carried entirely at their own risk and The London Chauffeur Company Ltd cannot be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage of such property. In the event a chauffeur is provided to driver a clients vehicle, it is solely the client’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle has the appropriate level of insurance. The London Chauffeur Company Ltd may request a copy of the insurance certificate as a condition of accepting the booking.

The London Chauffeur Company Ltd will keep any lost property at their office and will endeavour to return any lost goods left in our vehicle(s) or subcontracted vehicle(s) to the customer.

The London Chauffeur Company Ltd and its chauffeurs have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and whose behaviour poses a threat either to the chauffeur, the vehicle, or any other passenger(s).

No refund will be given if hire is shorter than booked.

Vehicles may have CCTV installed and your journey’s may be recorded. The purpose of recording is solely for the safety of chauffeurs and customers. Footage is deleted in accordance with the law. Any concerns regarding footage can be discussed at the point of booking.

Phone calls made to The London Chauffeur Company Ltd may be recorded for training and quality purposes. Any recordings are not shared with any third party. Any concerns regarding call recording can be discussed at any point.

We reserve the right to request the removal of any images and or video’s taken within our vehicle and published on social media or any other public domain without our permission.

The London Chauffeur Company Ltd maintains a strict non-smoking policy in all its vehicles.

Journeys on public and bank holidays such as Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve may incur an additional surcharge.

The London Chauffeur Company Ltd reserves the right to recover unpaid debts to the greatest extent allowed by law, including the use of debt recover services and small claims court. The booker will be held liable for any costs or interest incurred as a result of this process.

Nothing contained in these terms and conditions can affect the Clients’ statutory rights.
